Abstract

This research is entitled Evaluation of Malay Bilik Services at the Riau Province Library and Archives
Service. The aim of this research is to find out how to evaluate Malay room services at the Riau Province
Library and Archives Service. The method used in this research is a quantitative descriptive method. Data
collection techniques use observation, questionnaires, literature study, documentation study. The
population was 1,254 and the sample in this study was 92 respondents. The results of this research show
that the evaluation of Malay room service in the Riau Province Library and Archives Service is based on
the level of interest of users and what users feel in the Malay room library environment. The research shows
that Service Affect has an average value (3.30). The majority of respondents stated that the service it's been
going well. From the library as place aspect, it has an average value (3.33), most respondents stated that
the facilities and infrastructure were running well. From the Personal Control aspect, the average value
(3.26) was that most respondents stated that librarians could do it themselves without the help of librarians,
which was working well. Meanwhile, the Information Access aspect has an average value (3.30), the
majority of respondents stated that access to information has been going well.
