In the digital era, the role of librarians has significantly transformed from merely managing physical
collections to becoming facilitators in the process of knowledge sharing. This article explores the critical
role of librarians in supporting and facilitating knowledge sharing in digital environments, including
through the use of information technology, the development of digital collections, and the creation of
collaborative spaces for users. With the shift towards easier and faster access to information, librarians
are expected to serve as connectors between users and relevant information resources. This study also
discusses the challenges librarians face in the digital era, such as changes in user behavior, digital
information management, and the need to enhance digital skills. The findings of this study indicate that
librarians play a crucial role in supporting the effectiveness of knowledge sharing by providing access to
appropriate resources, facilitating collaboration, and guiding users in navigating information in the digital
era.
