Abstract

The aim of this research is to evaluate Al-Qur'an reading and writing activities in the Hamfara Community
Reading Park, and to determine the ability to read and write the Al-Qur'an in children around the Hamfara
Community Reading Park. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative research method. Sources
of research data from the head of TBM Hamfara, teachers and children. The data collection techniques
used are observation, interviews, documentation and tests. Data were analyzed through data reduction,
presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that: 1) Context evaluation, TBM
Hamfara created this activity to introduce Islamic matters to children and increase their knowledge about
the Al-Qur'an. 2) Evaluation of inputs shows that supporting facilities for this activity are still lacking but
do not hinder the activity. 3) Process evaluation shows that learning in the reading garden is carried out
using a classical model and the teacher provides learning first. Children are grouped according to their
abilities to facilitate the learning process. 4) Product evaluation shows that the children in the reading park
are good at reading and writing the letters of the Qur'an, but no one can read the Qur'an well. The teacher
gave an assessment with an average score of 80 (B) through the tests carried out, indicating that this activity
went well. Encouragement to improve children's abilities in reading and writing the Koran will be carried
out by reading parks to achieve even better results.
